DIRECTIONS TO CREEK RANCH HEADQUARTERS

 

Yampa Valley Regional Airport to Creek Ranch:

 

Exit airport property onto CR-51A/Routt Rd and follow for 2.2 miles to US-40.

 

Turn right on US-40 and continue for 1.9 miles to Twenty Mile Rd/CR-27.

 

Turn right on Twenty Mile Rd/CR-27 and continue for 14.2 miles. Note: At about the 14 mile mark there will be a large coal mine on your right.

 

At the far end of the mine property you will make a left turn to continue on to CR-33. (If you reach CR-70 you've gone about .8 miles too far.)

 

Turn left on CR-33 and continue for 5.7 miles. Note: At the 5.7 mile mark, CR-33 veers sharp left. Stay straight to continue on CR-179.

 

Once you are on 179, the road becomes gravel. Continue approximately 2 tenths of a mile to Headquarters Road on your left.

 

Turn left on to Headquarters Rd. and follow driveway to the ranch headquarters.

 

Travel time: approximately 35-40 minutes. Road is somewhat curvy in places.

 

Yampa Valley Regional Airport to Steamboat Springs:

 

Exit airport property onto CR-51A/Routt Rd and follow for 2.2 miles to US-40.

 

Turn right on US-40 and continue for 21.2 miles. You will be at the west end of the downtown Steamboat Springs. Note: US-40 becomes Lincoln Ave. throughout Steamboat Springs proper.

 

Travel Time: Approximately 30 minutes

Steamboat Springs to Creek Ranch:

 

Travel west out of downtown Steamboat Springs on Lincoln Ave (US-40) to Elk River Road. (stop light intersection by Ace Hardware/Curve Plaza)

 

Turn left on Elk River Rd one block to Shield Dr.

 

Turn left on Shield Dr. approximately 2 tenths of a mile to 13th Street (13th Street becomes Routt 33/Twenty Mile Rd)

 

Turn right on Routt 33 (Twenty Mile Rd) and continue 11.7 miles until you reach a "T" in the road. (Routt 179)

 

Turn left on 179 and approximately 2 tenths of a mile up on your left will be Headquarters Rd.

 

Turn left on Headquarters Rd and follow driveway to the ranch headquarters.

 

Travel Time: Approximately 30 minutes.

 

Note: Part of the way will be Open Range, so watch for cows on the road!
